5 Kid-Friendly Haggadahs For Your Passover Celebration

While it feels like we just got done with Purim, Passover is right around the corner. So, if you’re planning a seder, you’re going to be in need of a haggadah–and fast! Luckily for you, we’ve rounded up five amazing kid-friendly haggadahs for your consideration this Passover season.

1. The Santa Cruz Haggadah

Recommended by Mayim Bialik, the Santa Cruz Haggadah is perfect for kids who love comic books.

Mayim writes:

Our family has used a variety of Haggadahs, but we always return to this one as our mainstay. It can sometimes be a bit light on “halachic” guidelines, but my kids love the comic book style drawings (which are actually well done in sort of an R.Crumb style minus anything vulgar or weird), the vibrancy of the images, and the fact that there are modern takes on traditional things that don’t undermine the significance of the traditions themselves.

2. My Very Own Haggadah

This haggadah-meets-coloring-book is great for keeping the kids entertained before, during, and after the seder. A popular Passover choice for over 30 years, you may very well have colored it yourself when you were small! (Or big, adults can color too!)

3. The Baseball Haggadah

If your kids are sports fans, you’ll want to spring for this amazing haggadah. Created by a rabbi and proud little league mom, this haggadah turns the seder into a sporting event the whole family will love.

4. Sammy Spider’s First Haggadah

If you, unlike me, are not an arachnophobe, you’ll love following Sammy the Spider as he participates in his first seder.

5. Richard Codor’s Joyous Haggadah

Illuminated in a cartoony, easy-to-understand fashion, this haggadah is perfect for young children. We’d highly recommend it for your child’s first haggadah.

And just for the adults…The Asufa Haggadah

If you’re an art lover, you absolutely need to get this gorgeous haggadah. This amazing work was created by 40 Israeli artists, each of whom were given the task to design a single page. The breathtaking illustrations and designs, paired with classic haggadah text, make this truly a pleasure to use.

The Passover seder is an adventure, not a chore — and Kveller’s new, family-friendly haggadah captures all the excitement, plus explains everything you need to know. Best of all? It’s free! Get it here.
